DESCRIPTION: This course is for all members of the interdisciplinary team with an interest in developing their understanding and awareness of the advanced psychosocial
issues in palliative care.
Topics include: collusion

• communication/active listening
• total pain/psychological and spiritual distress
• family systems
• working with children
• grief and loss
• self-care
The aim of the course is to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes in
managing advanced psychosocial issues that can arise for patients and families
with palliative care needs.
