Monica Pilch

Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Psychology

Dr Monika Pilch is a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Psychology. Monika holds degrees in psychology, pedagogy, and sociology. She completed her PhD in Trinity College Dublin. She applies behavioural science, population health approaches and co-production methodologies to generating evidence to inform the design of innovative interventions for advance care planning. Monika completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at University College Dublin, managing the Irish site of an international clinical trial aiming to evaluate a psychosocial intervention for people with advanced cancer and their caregivers (DIAdIC). She specialises in using mixed-methods methodologies. Monika is skilled in using experimental designs, quantitative analysis of large datasets, and investigating stakeholders` perspectives using design thinking and collective intelligence methodologies. Monika is a member of the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the UCD School of Psychology. She was the Chair of the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) Early Career Researcher Forum (2019-2021)
