Learning Network

Apart from general networking events, focused opportunities to share and to learn are available through the IAPC working groups and fora such as the Palliative Nursing Forum, the Ethics Forum, the Pharmacy Forum, the Education and Research Forum, and Associations with other Working Groups.

Opportunities

Educational and developmental events take place each year ranging from subject-specific workshops and seminars to the National Conference and the Annual IAPC Education and Research Seminar and Workshops.

IAPC Knowledge Centre

The Knowledge Centre provides access to information and resources designed to disseminate knowledge, best practice, research, and leading-edge thinking in palliative care, as well as facilitating knowledge transfer and exchange.

Preferential Rates

Members can avail of reduced registration fees for IAPC conferences, seminars, and events. Preferential rates are also offered to IAPC members for EAPC events.

IAPC News

The monthly newsletter keeps members in touch and up to date on the work of the IAPC. Articles and reports of the proceedings of palliative care conferences, as well as items of professional interest and current developments in palliative care are also covered. The newsletter offers members an opportunity to publish articles and other palliative care-related material. IAPC News is distributed to members monthly.

IAPC directory of hospice and specialist palliative care services in Ireland. This Directory is available to members on our Website.

EAPC Associate Membership

IAPC members receive free membership of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) and may thereby benefit from reduced-rates for EAPC events and publications and access to all the benefits of an information and knowledge-sharing network of 46 national palliative care associations in 26 European countries.

Who Can Become a Member of IAPC?

Membership in the Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC) is open to professionals across various disciplines involved in palliative care, including doctors, nurses, SHO’s, academics, management professionals, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, counsellors, therapists, educators, chaplains, administrators, and more.

Does the membership run from January-December Annually?

Membership runs from the date of joining i.e. if you join in March, your membership runs from March-March. Statements will be isued several times throughout the year.
