MS Ireland recently hosted Trevis L. Gleason and a panel of international experts to discuss MS at the End of Life and the rare but serious complications that can affect individuals with multiple sclerosis. The discussion focused on understanding, preventing, and managing these complex issues.
The panel featured Professor Alessandra Solari, Head of Neuroepidemiology Services and the Scientific Directorate at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan, Italy; Dr. Rosalind Kalb, a clinical psychologist with nearly 40 years of experience specializing in MS care and education; and Dee Hickson, a palliative care nurse manager and board member of the Irish Association of Palliative Care.
