Deirdre has been working in Specialist Palliative Care for over 25 years, beginning her career in The Scared Heart Hospice in Darlinghurst Sydney, Australia. Since then, Deirdre has worked in many inpatients units including Our Lady’s Hospice Harolds Cross, North West Hospice in Sligo and now in Roscommon Community Palliative Care where she is currently a CNM3.

Deirdre has a HDip in Palliative Care, MSc in Pain Management, Certificate in Nursing (nurse prescribing) along with Level 1 & 2 Children with life limiting conditions in Crumlin, Ethics in Medicine and Nursing, Clinical Leadership and Quality Improvement from UCC and she is currently undertaking Delivering Change in Health Services programme through the HSE.
