Dr. Stacey Power Walsh

Assistant Professor

University College Dublin.

Dr Stacey Power Walsh is an Assistant Professor and Programme Director for the Children’s and General Nursing Programme (Integrated) in University College Dublin. She is a Registered Intellectual Disability and Children’s Nurse with a Postgraduate in Palliative care and a Master’s degree in specialist nursing where she explored nurses’ experiences of bereavement care. She has also completed a professional diploma in teaching and learning. Stacey undertook a PhD in the INFANT Centre and School of Medicine (University College Cork); exploring experiences of pregnancy with major fetal anomalies. 

Stacey’s clinical background is in nursing children and young adults with palliative care and complex care needs, within the disability, hospice and community setting. Stacey is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Irish Association of Palliative care. Stacey contributes as a member for the Advisory Group for the National Standards for Bereavement Care Following Pregnancy Loss and Perinatal Death and Pregnancy Loss Research Group at Cork University Maternity Hospital. She is also on the organising committee for the 6th All Ireland Children’s Palliative Care Conference 2024.
