Dr Thomas Cahill, MB BCh BAO, BSc

Dr. Thomas Cahill has been an active and dedicated member of the organisation for
several years, demonstrating a sustained commitment to advancing the mission and
values of the IAPC through his contributions to education and research.
He currently serves as Chair of the IAPC Education and Research Forum, having
previously held the positions of Vice-Chair and committee member over the past four
years. Dr. Cahill also represents the IAPC on the All-Ireland Institute of Hospice and
Palliative Care (AIIHPC) Palliative Care Education Network, where he collaborates with
colleagues across the sector to promote excellence in palliative care education and
practice.

Professionally, Dr. Cahill is undertaking specialist training in Palliative Medicine and is
working as a Specialist Registrar in Palliative Medicine at Milford Care Centre in
Limerick. His clinical experience reinforces his dedication to advancing high-quality
palliative medicine education and supporting the growth of research within the
specialty.
